Joan Scott runs a public stable based in Kentucky during the summer
and Florida in the winter months.
Joan is a true hands-on trainer, on top of her horses physically
and mentally.
By galloping, feeding, and providing day-to-day care, she can catch
little problems and get to know individual horses’ habits and
idiosyncracies - an attention to detail that makes the difference
between winning and losing.
“ ...I got into training [because], you gallop for people, assist
for people and think ‘I’d do it this way if I had the chance and I
think I could do it better, then stick your neck out and do it instead
of just talking about it.”
